Job description:
The Research Engineer specializing in Dynamic Equipment is responsible for developing, implementing, and refining diagnostic methods to monitor the condition and performance of dynamic equipment. This role involves the design and execution of experiments to assess equipment reliability, detect early signs of failures, and optimize predictive maintenance strategies. The position requires collaboration with cross-functional teams and deep expertise in dynamic equipment technology to drive innovative solutions in monitoring and diagnostics.
Essential duties & Responsibilities:

Develop and implement diagnostic methods for monitoring the condition of dynamic equipment

Conduct vibration and acoustic testing, analyze sensor data, and identify faults

Develop mathematical models and predictive maintenance algorithms, utilizing machine learning for data analysis

Analyze and process data using MATLAB, Python, and Mathcad, preparing technical reports and recommendations

Collaborate with software developers to integrate diagnostic algorithms into monitoring systems
-
Prepare technical documentation, including diagnostic passports, diagnostic methodologies, and operational standards

Participate in field tests and equipment inspections at industrial sites, working closely with service teams
Education / Experience:
-
A Bachelor’s or graduate degree in mechanics, mechanical engineering, rotor dynamics, vibration diagnostics, or related fields
-
At least 3 years of experience in diagnostics and monitoring of dynamic equipment

Hands-on experience with vibration diagnostic systems, machine dynamics analysis, and predictive maintenance
-
Experience in software development and testing for vibration data analysis will be a significant advantage
-
Certification in vibration diagnostics (e.g., ISO 18436-2, VCAT-II/III) will be a significant advantage
Qualifications/ Knowledge:

Russian – Native, English – Fluent

Knowledge and experience in applying non-destructive testing (NDT) method

Knowledge and experience in applying vibration diagnostics methods for equipment

Knowledge and experience in statistical data processing
-
Proficiency in mathematical software packages such as RStudio and MATLA
-
Knowledge in measurements and digital signal processing

Experience in programming with R or Python

Experience working with Artificial Intelligence (ChatGPT, Copilot, Claude
-
Proficiency in Word and Excel

Experience in C/C++ programming and understanding of OOP (Object-Oriented Programming) principles will be a significant advantage
Schedule: Full Time, 40-hour workweek, overtime-exempt.
